HSBC Archives Manager Asia Pacific This is an exciting opportunity to join HSBC's team of archivists spanning London, Hong Kong, Paris and New York. Our archives form one of the most international corporate collections in the world. At the heart of it are the records of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, founded in Hong Kong in 1865. The collections include annual reports, minute books, banknotes, photographs, films and more. They capture our evolution and the contributions of employees over the years. They also tell a story of the social and economic history of the communities we serve. The Archives Manager Asia Pacific will be based in Hong Kong and will report into the Regional Head of Archives. They will be responsible for driving the collection management programmes in the Asia Pacific – including managing our professional storage environments, leading collection development, cataloguing and conservation of the bank’s archives. They will have the opportunity to work with global Archives colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures and will gain exposure to our award winning digital archives systems. They will also need strong curatorial and presentation skills to support our extensive outreach programmes, including leading tours and developing exhibitions at our interactive Archives Gallery, which receives thousands of visitors a year.
